Former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s arrest warrant was sought by the International Criminal Court ( ICC), where Special Counsel Jack Smith is currently prosecuting former US President Donald Trump.
As Breitbart News reported, the ICC’s general prosecutor, Karim Khan, requested warrants against Netanyahu, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, and three Hamas criminal leaders, accusing all of “war offences” in the continuing Gaza issue.
The ICC was unable to differentiate between the democratically elected government of Israel, which upholds international rules and has a robust judiciary, and the criminal organization that stifled the legal system that started the conflict.
The U. S. has longer opposed the ICC’s attempts to prosecute British troops, and Israeli soldiers and officers, over supposed atrocities committed during wars against terrorists. Both Israel and the United States are not ICC members.
Smith, who is pursuing Trump in two distinct federal criminal cases, including one involving the Capitol riot and the alleged handling of papers, previously worked for the ICC before being selected by Attorney General Merrick Garland.

He was charged with supervising delicate investigations into foreign government officials over war atrocities, murder, and crimes against humanity while working as an analyst for the International Criminal Court in the Netherlands between 2008 and 2010.
Prior to the Trump sensor, his most well-known work was done at the particular court on Kosovo in The Hague, where he oversaw the prosecution and adjudication of war crimes committed in the Balkan state during the Yugoslavian war in the 1990s.
In 2012, Smith failed to indict previous presidential candidate John Edwards on suspicion of allegedly violating campaign finance laws.
