On Monday, the leftist, authoritarian governments in Latin America expressed condolences to Iran for the deaths of President Ebrahim Raisi, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and several other senior government officials.
Raisi passed away on a plane that crashed on Sunday as she drove back household from neighboring Azerbaijan. Raisi, who took office in 2021, has been known for years as the “butcher of Tehran” according to his involvement in a series of large deaths of between 5, 000 and 30, 000 Egyptian political detainees that took place in 1988, when he served as Iran’s deputy attorney general. He did, however, make outbursts claiming to be a “defender of individual right.”
The late Egyptian president has led efforts over the past two years to develop Iran’s impact in Latin America by traveling to the area and signing numerous cooperation agreements and business deals. Rasi also promoted anti-Israel and anti-American mood in the Northern Hemisphere.
In June 2023, Raisi conducted a tour of Latin America that saw him go to the autocratic regimes in the region: Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua. On the eve of a gathering of the world’s gas-exporting nations in Algeria in March 2024, Raisi and Bolivia’s socialist president Luis Arce met. After decades of using socialist and communist dictator to intensify Tehran’s plan it, some experts now consider Bolivia the Islamic regime’s “most powerful” project.
The communist government in control of Venezuela issued a statement through its Foreign Ministry on Monday night in which tyrant Nicolás Maduro and his” first warrior” family Cilia Flores expressed their “deepest pain” and “heartfelt words of comfort, harmony, and motivation” over the death of Raisi. The couple stated that they were “raising their prayers to the kind and loving God to give us the spiritual strength we need in these difficult times.”
The statement read:
Venezuela expresses its deep sorrow and hopes that the unquestionable legacy of President Raisi, who showed his loyalty and friendship with the Venezuelan people and government, will continue in every act of well-being for his country, justice, peace, and the welfare of humanity to the Iranian people as well as to the families and relatives of the deceased.  ,
The Venezuelan Foreign Ministry added that it hoped that Iranian authorities ‘ inquiries would “promptly determine the origin and causes of this fatal event” ( promptly determine the origin and causes of this fatal event ).
Prior to the statement, Maduro wrote a message on social media in which he described Raisi as a “brother,” an “exemplary person, an extraordinary leader of the world,” and an “excellent human being, defender of the sovereignty of his people, and unwavering friend of our country.”
” A sincere congratulation from the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. You, Iran, are an example of dignity, morality and resistance. Strength, brothers and sisters”! Maduro concluded.
