Host Joy Reid on Monday’s MSNBC” The ReidOut” broadcast stated that “it seems like the Biden administration wants soft regime change” in Israel and that the administration appears to be” sort of openly supporting Netanyahu’s chief rival, who said he will leave the government if they do n’t have a plan for the post-war Gaza.” They have also refuted this assertion by supporting Netanyahu in opposition to the ICC’s ( ICC ) arrest warrant.
Reid said,” ]I ] t baffles my mind, because, on the one hand, it feels like the Biden administration wants soft regime change. They appear to be kind of outspoken supporters of Netanyahu’s main enemy, who said he would step down as leader if there was no way to deal with post-war Gaza. On the other hand, they quickly return to embracing him when he’s in difficulties. I do n’t understand it. Why not just let go if he’s in this kind of trouble and they do n’t want him in any longer, Netanyahu?
Reid also argued that Netanyahu has an opportunity to get into trouble in order to win Biden over, as did Quincy Institute Executive Vice President Trita Parsi.
