Just six months into his candidacy, speech Mike Johnson (R-LA ) will reportedly lose a high-powered group of top plan staffers.
The important experts — Brittan Specht, Jason Yaworske, and Preston Hill— are leaving Johnson’s department at the end of May, Punchbowl News reported. Each of the three previously held positions with then-Chairman Kevin McCarthy (R-CA ).

Johnson ascended to the bottom of House management without the existing coverage, conversation, and fundraising approach as others who have spent decades in command. For a skilled group’s departure is likely to have a negative impact, especially as budget season kicks off in high gear before the end-of-September deadline.
Specht had served as McCarthy’s plan chairman, and Yaworske is an professional on budget and budget concerns. As the House arts budget charges, both would have had a significant impact.
