On Wednesday, the Republican president said a mine of new leak documents that the House Ways and Means Committee found that show Hunter Biden lied to Congress in February.

House lawmakers spent months examining the finances of the Biden family and conducting business partners ‘ interviews to support allegations of financial misconduct that were the subject of federal officials ‘ investigations.
A pair of IRS whistleblowers came forward last summer to reveal how the Department of Justice ( DOJ) stifled and delayed investigators in the Hunter Biden investigation. Whistleblowers say the DOJ , thwarted , analytical efforts,” sluggish- walked” assistance with tax agents, and even , concealed , important evidence implicating President Joe Biden in a legal bribery scheme.
House researchers interviewed Hunter Biden himself as part of a political prosecution investigation following the discovery of more than , 20 , shell businesses established by the Biden home to funnel , hundreds of millions , of money from international oligarchs. On Wednesday, Smith outlined three lies in particular.
First, Hunter Biden lied about the recipient of a WhatsApp message that appeared to have been intended to threaten a business associate and demand payment, according to Smith.
In the message, Hunter Biden twice mentioned he was with his father. In the deposition, Hunter Biden sought to dismiss the message, claiming that he was either quote “high or drunk” when he sent it, and in that state, had sent it to the wrong Zhao, and not actually the one affiliated with the Chinese energy company, CEFC.
According to Chairman Smith,” Phone records in front of the Committee today show Hunter Biden sent the message to the correct Chinese businessman Raymond Zhao, who not only was affiliated with CEFC but also knew what Hunter Biden was talking about.”
Rep. Harriet Hageman, R- Wyo., told The Federalist following Hunter Biden’s testimony that the president’s son often cited struggles with addiction to escape accountability.
” When we tried to get into details”, Hageman said, Biden responded with” ‘ Well, I do n’t have a memory of that.'”
When Hunter Biden denied being the corporate secretary for Rosemont Seneca Bohai, Smith made the second lie.
” The truth is in his own handwriting, and it is in front of our Committee today”, Smith said. I, Robert Hunter Biden, hereby certify that I am the duly elected, qualified, and acting secretary of Rosemont Seneca Bohai LLC, a Corporation organized and existing under the laws of the State of Delaware, as stated in a document dated April 29, 2014.
” Third”, Smith said,” Hunter Biden lied during his deposition when he said he never helped individuals obtain U. S. visas”.
However, it states that Hunter is checking with Miguel Aleman to see if he can offer Kola on the Visa. In an email that was sent to the committee between Hunter Biden and his Ukrainian business partners,” Hunter is checking with Miguel Aleman to see if he can provide cover to Kola.”
Kola was the “CEO of Burisma, Nikolay Zlochevsky”, Smith explained. The email also revealed that Zlochevsky’s” U. S. visa was revoked” because” there was concern about his foreign travel”.
House Republicans in charge of the Biden impeachment investigation have indicated that they will look into criminal referrals to the Department of Justice rather than formal articles of impeachment. Voters will cast ballots in the presidential election this year, which will contain much more information about the Biden family’s business ventures than they did in 2020, when major online news sources filtered out information about the corruption scandals.
