ABC legal analyst Sunny Hostin said Wednesday on ABC’s” The View” that , Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark was “more relatable to more people because she’s white”.
Co- network Whoopi Goldberg said,” She is the NCAA’s all- moment leading scorers of men and women. In February she broke the person’s report, in March she broke Pistol Pete Maravich’s 3, 667- place history. She’s had more 30- stage matches than anyone in the prior 25 years. She is the men’s three-point recordholder for men in a single season and the great ten’s all-time top scorer in assists. Listen, when people say things like that, it’s like saying you just got into this Ivy League university because you’re charcoal or you just got this because of this. This woman on this, I’m sad, there are wonderful people, but nobody else has done this”.
Hostin said,” I , you know, I’ve been a sports lover since I can remember. When I was five years old, my father and I played sports together in Harlem. So I remember loving the sport, and the game never actually caring people back, right? The WNBA started in 1996, primary game played in 1997. It’s 2024, and we’re just then actually talking about it. So, I say,” Yes, brilliant,” if Caitlin Clark is the person who will take this game that I have loved so much and longed to play in Harlem. I do n’t mind that. With that being said, I do think that there is a point called really opportunity. There is a point called pale opportunity. There is a point called high pleasure. And we must embrace that. Why did she had to play in Russia, if you think about the Brittney Griners of the world?
Goldberg said,” Not because she was black but because they did n’t believe in the WNBA”.
Hostin said,” That’s part of my place. Caitlin Clark is currently bringing this wealth, these endorsements, we believe, into the club so that other people may gain from it. But I do think that she is more relatable to more folks because she’s pale, because she’s beautiful and however, there still is that discrimination against the Gay society”.
