On Thursday, President Joe Biden and Kenyan President William Ruto held a combined press conference at the White House to reiterate their commitment to restoring international law and order in Haiti.
The time Haitian prime minister resigned earlier this year because of widespread violence, and Kenya rose in the spring to take the helm of a foreign security support mission there. Kenya is currently sending officers from Nairobi to the Caribbean island nation.
Although Biden was asked on Thursday why he would n’t send American troops to the peacekeeping mission despite the fact that the US has helped coordinate the MSS.
