Although Officer Gillis accuses Scheffler of doing so in his formal report, the picture does not show him being dragged. This picture, according to the Louisville Metro Police Department ( LMPD), does not accurately depict the entire event.
The film just shows the quick aftermath of the incident. According to LMPD, there is no picture of Det. Gillis was genuinely “dragged” by Scheffler.
