On Thursday’s “CNN News Central”, Sen. Chris Murphy ( D- CT) acknowledged that” the entire reason” that there was a negotiation for a border costs in the Senate to begin with was because of” the plea of Republicans. Republicans said, we want to go bipartisan border security policy”. He even argued that Democrats” consider border ministry’s important”.
Murphy said,” Consider, the whole reason that we entered into this republican dialogue was at the request of Republicans. Republicans said, we want to go bipartisan border security policy. They appointed a mediator, Sen. McConnell ( R- KY), the head of the Republicans, was in the place, and we negotiated for four weeks. Republicans turned on a dime after we completed every task that Republicans had demanded of the Democratic Senate Caucus, and the leadership of the party approved the ultimate solution. Today, we think border security’s essential. The people we represent consider border security’s essential. We do n’t want to abandon this bipartisan bill, which we worked so hard to pass after one failed attempt, so we do n’t want to do that.
