In a show Thursday night and on Thursday night in the capital of the United Arab Emirates ( UAE), American comedian Dave Chappelle touched on the upcoming 2024 presidential election.
AP reports , Chappelle’s notice of President Joe Biden— who has promised “ironclad” aid for Israel — drew common shouts throughout the packed Abu Dhabi area.
Similarly, Donald Trump, a potential Republican nominee, received a lot of applause, the outlet reported.
Chappelle, as various artists did during the achievement, told some risque jokes and swore.
Although Chappelle apparently made a sly prank about the UAE’s extensive surveillance network and another deadpanning about “how hard it is to be gay” in the country because homosexuality is forbidden, they generally avoided discussing regional politics.
He also appeared on stage wearing a bird, which is a representation of the UAE.
Chappelle, 50, won the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor in 2019. He gave a performance at the Abu Dhabi Comedy Week.
