The families of Grayson Murray, the PGA Tour golf who passed away on Saturday at the age of 30, have issued a statement announcing that their child “took his personal life. ”
The declaration, on behalf of Murray’s families, Erica and Terry, was shared by the PGA Tour’s X accounts.
“We have spent the past 24 time trying to come to terms with the fact that our child is gone. It’s strange that we not only have to say it to ourselves, but that we also have to acknowledge it to the earth. It’s a nightmare, ” Murray’s parents said. “We have so many issues that have no solutions. But one. Was Grayson loved? The answer is yes. By us, his nephew Cameron, his sister Erica, all of his lengthened home, by his friends, by his fellow players and – it seems – by many of you who are reading this.

According to the PGA Tour, Murray withdrew from the Charles Schwab Challenge on Friday due to an illness.
Murray had seen tremendous success on the golf training after battling problems with alcoholism, depression, and stress. In January, he won the Sony Open and spoke boldly about his problems.
A lot of hard work pays off. It’s never easy. I want to give up a lot of times, give up on myself, give up on the game of golf, give up on life at times, ” Murray said at the Sony Open. “ Just stay, and when you get tired of fighting let someone else struggle for you. That’s what happened. ”

Murray was hailed as a prodigy in sport at a younger age.
“[ Murray ] was just 16 when he made his first cut on the developmental Korn Ferry Tour and won three straight Junior World Championships from 2006-08.
“A good time on the Korn Ferry Tour in 2023 saw him returning to the PGA Tour, and his Sony Open win saw him approach a career-high 46th in the world ranking. ”
