NEW DELHI: A man was arrested after stabbing six people, including four young women at a movie theatre, in separate incidents that may be linked, according to Massachusetts officers. According to officials, the suspect did not purchase a ticket before leaving the AMC Braintree 10 theatre west of Boston on Saturday at 6 p.m.
The man attacked the female, aged 9 to 17 inside the theatre, “without saying something and without any alert” before fleeing the scene, the Paypal Police Department said. The victims were taken to local hospitals for therapy after suffering non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities said they shared the information with other law enforcement agencies and were able to determine the suspect’s car and license plate from film images.
Eventually, a vehicle matching the description was spotted at a McDonald’s restaurant in Plymouth, about 27 miles ( 43 kilometers ) north of Braintree, where two more victims, a 21- year- aged woman and a 29- year- old man, were found stabbed at the location and rushed to the hospital for treatment.
State police located the suspect’s vehicle in Sandwich, another 20 miles west of Plymouth, and attempted to stop it, the vehicle refused to pull through and finally crashed.
Soon after the collision, he was taken into custody and treated there. The suspect’s identity has not been released, and the investigation is ongoing.
