This weekend, as people gather for meals for Memorial Day cookouts, millions of American people will experience the bite of prices.
The average cost of a Memorial Day cookout will be$ 30 this year, up 10 percent from a year ago, according to Wallet Hub.
According to Wallet Hub, close to a report number of Americans are planning to go this trip, and they’ll be paying more for gas than they did a year ago. Petrol prices increased by 4 % over the Memorial Day weekend of last year.
Higher prices may keep some people asking “where’s the steak”? Ground beef has increased by 6 % from a year ago. Steak costs are up 6.5 percentage. Wiener costs are away 7.1 percent.
There may be some shelter in hen. Costs are generally unchanged from a year ago.
But keep the ketchup. The costs of “other ingredients” are off 8.7 percent and costs of recipes are up 3.5 percent.
Beer prices have increased by three percent from a year ago, which is almost a discount given how much inflation is currently roiling additional Memorial Day staples.
