GOP Rep. Mast Says Federal Money Used to Fund On-Campus Anti-Israel Movement

Rep. Brian Mast (R-FL ) explained how federal tax dollars are being used to finance the anti-Israel sentiment on college campuses during an appearance on this year’s spread of FNC’s” Sunday Morning Futures.”

The Florida senator claims that federal grant money is distributed to the companies that provide subgrantees to support an anti-Israel culture on campuses.

” What are you looking for”? pack- in host Sean Duffy asked. Do you know whether the federal government is working with the companies that provide cash for these anti-Israel protests?

” So there’s a really important thing to understand around”, Mast replied. ” The State Department and other government agencies, yes, they get — you’re well aware of this, but a lot of people are n’t. They give offers out to authorities. You — they have artistic brands. They’re in Washington, D. C., or other places, Humanist International or Group for the Good of Peace around. And then those organizations distribute subventions to a number of other organizations that travel and engage in activities that, typically, the US government is unaware of.

” And that’s where you get those funds coming from the U.S. government, going down to some entity, and then to some other subgrantee that’s getting money to fund unrest on a college campus or make sure that they help people who do n’t support Israel get better admissions, all while the admissions boards, the board of governors, and the tenured professors are looking for those type of individuals,” he continued. That’s how the” group” of money moves in order to distribute funds from the tax to the unrest.

” But, your point is, our national tax dollars are going to fund the extremism on these school colleges”, Duffy replied. ” And that’s what you’re exploring in this — in this ask”?

” Not just going there, but, unfortunately, you have a federal government that, in instance after instance, does n’t even take the time to track where your money is going”, Mast said. Secretary of State Antony Blinken pointed out the fact that money that he had no idea on was going straight to the Taliban while we were simply doing this a few days ago. He attempted to refute it, but a particular investigative report from the government revealed that well, it is going straight to the Taliban. He did n’t know about it”.
