In the upcoming presidential election, Chase Oliver, an openly gay past admirer of former President Barack Obama, was chosen as the Libertarian Party’s nominee for president.
After days of election, Oliver, a former Georgia Senate candidate, advanced to the last round with the only other alternative being, “none of the above”.
Oliver won the final round with almost 60 percent of the vote, while “none of the above” received around 36 percent of the ballot, according to the Hill.
If Libertarians had chosen “none of the above,” according to Meryl Kornfield, a staff writer for the Washington Post, it would have caused issues with their party’s representation and exposure to the poll.

In 2022, Oliver was the Libertarian Party’s candidate for the Georgia Senate, which resulted in a run-off special election between Sens. Raphael Warnock (D-GA ) and Herschel Walker.
According to the Guardian, the original Senate candidate described himself as “armed and gay.”
According to his site,” Oliver is a champion of the rights of the individual against the growing power of the state.” He joined the Libertarian Party after meeting at the 2010 Atlanta Pride Festival and began his social engagement by opposing the Iraq War under George Bush.
Prior to joining the Libertarian Party, Oliver, according to Newsweek, had supported the Democrat Party and former US President Barack Obama.
Oliver previously ran for Congress in the fifth district of Georgia, and he received almost two percentage of the vote.
Old X articles reveal that Oliver is also in favour of transgender athletes in sports and open borders, among other problems.

Both Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the presumed Republican presidential candidate, and former US president Donald Trump were declared ineligible and did not advance through the election process.
Trump claimed in a post on Truth Social that he did never “file papers for the Republican Nomination” because he is” not allowed to have the Election of another Party” as the presumed GOP presidential candidate.
” Irregardless, I believe I will get a Majority of the Republican Vote”, Trump added. ” Junior ‘ Kennedy is a Radical Left Democrat, who’s destroyed all he’s touched, especially in New York and New England, and in particular, as it related to the Value and Utility of Energy. He’s never a Libertarian. A Stupid would be the only ones to support him.
