Hung Cao, a retired military commander, received former President Donald Trump’s highly regarded endorsement on Sunday. He is attempting to secure the Democratic nomination for the U.S. Senate in Virginia next month.
Trump announced his” complete and total support” of Cao on Truth Social.
” A Combat Veteran and Highly Decorated Special Operations Officer, Hung Cao will be a tireless fighter to stop Prices, increase our Business, secure our Frontier, strongly support our Amazing Military/Vets, and defend our usually under siege Next Amendment”, Trump wrote.
” Hung Cao has my Complete and Total Support; he will never let you down, and we will immediately get rid of the worst chairman in our nation, who was acrobatic Joe Biden,” he said. Trump added.

Cao is squaring off with several competitors in the June 18 key, the success of which will confront Sen. Tim Kaine ( D- VA ) in the public vote. Kaine was Hillary Clinton’s running girlfriend in 2016 and twice-failed Democratic presidential candidate.
Attorney Jonathan Emord, Scott Parkinson–the past chief of staff to next- Rep. Ron DeSantis ( R- FL ) –attorney Chuck Smith, and Army Veteran Eddie Garcia are also vying for the nomination.
Trump’s highly regarded and very cherished endorsement demonstrates Cao’s position as the front-runner in the competition, as the 45th president has consistently demonstrated his kingmaking ability with his testimonials in GOP primaries.
Republicans have won all three of Virginia’s most recent nationwide races in 2021, indicating that the group’s effect is renewed in the state. Democrats have won the past four presidential elections in Virginia and every Senate vote since 2006.
Gov. Glenn Youngkin ( R- VA ) beat former Gov. Terry McCauliffe by 1.9 positions, while Lt. Gov. Winsome Sears ( R ) and Attorney General Jason Miyares ( R ) won their races by 1.6 points and.8 points, respectively.
In December, Trump initially disclosed to Breitbart News that he intended to contain Virginia and some other states that normally go violet in national elections but that he believes are in play, such as New Jersey, New Mexico, and New York.
