Tuesday will set the opening arguments for former US president Donald Trump’s Manhattan company information trial.
Democrats ‘ team will start the prosecution’s closing argument, with Democrats ‘ team coming in second place, according to New York City District Attorney Alvin Bragg.
The closing claims might last a moment.
Trump criticized that choice on Truth Social, which posted Monday night:
WHY IS IT PERMITTED BY THE CORRUPT GOVERNMENT TO MAKE THE FINAL ARGUMENT IN THE CASE AGAINST ME? WHY CAN’T THE DEFENSE GO LAST? BIG ADVANTAGE, VERY UNFAIR. WITCH HUNT! DJT
In a follow-up article, Trump also mentioned various aspects of how the case was handled that legal experts have characterized as unfair.
Trump cited Judge Juan Merchan’s rejection of Mark Pomerantz’s request to subpoenae Mark Pomerantz as a testimony. Pomerantz was a former attorney in Bragg’s company. Additionally, Trump made the point that Merchan had so much language that the security chose not to use him, including former Federal Elections Commissioner Brad Smith, who had been limited by what he could claim about campaign finance law. And Trump noted that Merchan lashed out at another of the prosecutor’s see, Bob Costello, threatening to strike his evidence from the document after he raised his eyebrows at one of Merchan’s decision.
Trump posted:
Could someone please inquire Judge Merchan, the gentleman Alvin Bragg was angry at for the actions he took in this manufactured and illegal situation, what happened to Mark Porentz, and why was he not allowed to testify? Furthermore, why did Judge Merchan never permit Brad Smith, the leading Election Law Expert in the Country, to speak. He would have immediately concluded the situation by describing the regulation and claiming that Trump had not broken any laws. Similar to Bob Costello and all of his undisputed and strong information: why was the Conflicted Judge so cruel and shut down, why were his messages and text messages barred from public display, and why, of course, there is the biggest celebration of all, but I am forbidden to discuss it because I am a GAG orderer. This is the Biden White House at labor. Poll Intervention!
Last year, Harvard constitutional scholar Alan Dershowitz attended the court, and after wrote:” The determine in Donald Trump’s trial was an utter tyrant, though he appeared to the judge to be a benevolent dictator. He appeared to be making decisions invariably against the accused.
Gregg Jarrett, a previous defense attorney and recent Fox News legitimate analyst, wrote in an op- ed on Foxnews.com that the trial bore” no resemblance” to the” respected legal promise” of the right to a fair trial.
Jarrett wrote:
Our legal system was mocked by District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s absurd case. Judge Juan Merchan made the injustice even worse by upholding the constitutional standards that each accuser is entitled to. His bench rulings consistently favored the prosecution and prevented Trump’s attorneys from bringing a legitimate defense that would be accepted in any other courtroom.
…
Together, Bragg and Merchan demonstrated how little respect the rule of law or the rights of the accused are accorded. This is not an impartial tribunal. It’s a predetermined outcome in an Orwellian show trial. There’s no presumption of innocence, only the expectation of guilt.
The 12-person jury will decide the verdict in a solid blue area.
President Joe Biden is already planning to make a statement on the verdict,  , Politico , reported Friday, citing four anonymous sources.
Biden will reportedly make the statement from the White House, to show that it “is n’t political”.

Whether or not Trump is found guilty or not, he is reportedly planning statements about the outcome. He will reportedly argue that there should not be a” convicted felon” as president if Trump is found guilty, but that he is also getting ready for a “barrage” of criticism from Republicans and Trump if he is found guilty or found guilty.
A conviction wo n’t significantly alter support for Trump, according to a recent Quinnipiac poll, with the majority of his supporters saying it wo n’t affect their support, while 24 percent said it will increase the likelihood that they will support him.
Only 6 % of voters said a conviction would reduce their choice to support him.
