Rep. Greg Steube (R-FL ) stated on Monday’s Fox News Channel” Fox &, Friends First” broadcast that President Joe Biden has encouraged China to “leave our ally Israel and send money to Hamas through humanitarian aid.” He added that China is encouraged by the President’s poor management of Afghanistan and “what’s happening in Ukraine.”
Steube said,” We’ve been wargaming China invading Taiwan for decades. The Chinese Communist Party has a clear understanding that Taiwan belongs to them. The Taiwan leaders will tell you, the threats, there ]have ] been over like 500 — or 5, 000 different military sorties from the Chinese Communist Party into Taiwanese airspace just in the last couple of years. Afterwards, they see the weakness in our White House. They saw what this President did in Afghanistan. They see what’s happening in Ukraine. They notice that we’re allying with Israel and providing support to Hamas through humanitarian assistance. They see all of this. But, they’re looking at an opportunity to attack Taiwan. They’ve openly talked about Taiwan belong]ing ] to them. And if you talk to a Chinese head, and with all of these various military missions into the airport, they’re very, very involved”.
