Republicans picked Jay Furman, a retired Navy veteran, as the candidate to work in November against Henry Cuellar, a longtime Democratic senator who along with his wife , was indicted , this flower on national corruption, wealth fraud and scam costs. Cuellar has said he is innocent, three partners have  , pleaded guilty , in relevant examinations.
In South Texas ‘ 28th Congressional District, which Cuellar has held since 2005, Furman defeated ranch and business Lazaro Garza. Both candidates fought for tighter emigration controls and border security.
There was another Cuellar on the ballot, to: Rosie Cuellar, his girlfriend, was defeated by Cecilia Castellano in the Democrat discharge for a South Texas state House seat. Before Henry Cuellar’s arrest, the March major was held.
