As NATO members France and Poland declared officially that Kyiv was permitted to utilize their missiles to attack targets inside Russia, the conflict in Ukraine may be on the verge of reaching uncharted territory, giving the Kremlin a warning of a full-fledged war with the West.
Both Paris and Warsaw have endorsed the obvious increase in the conflict in response to controversial remarks made by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, who claimed over the weekend that Ukraine should be free to attack Russian-occupied websites.
Polish Defense Minister Cezary Tomczyk stated in an interview with Radio ZET that Ukraine” can fight as they want,” claiming that Warsaw does not place any restrictions on Kyiv’s use of Polish-provided weapons against Soviet targets.
” We decided to help Ukraine in the conflict, Ukraine was brutally attacked, so it has the right to defend itself as it deems appropriate” , , Tomczyk said.
However, French President Emmanuel Macron also made the argument that Ukraine may be given the right to use Western-provided arms against specific priorities in Russia, specifically areas where Moscow uses to build attacks on Ukraine, on the last day of his state visit to Germany on Tuesday.
” We think that we should allow them to neutralise military sites where missiles are fired, from where … Ukraine is attacked”, Macron said according to France24, but added:” We should not allow them to touch other targets in Russia, and obviously civilian capacities”.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz was somewhat more careful. However, he said he had no legal complaints to Macron’s see:  , “Ukraine has every chance under international rules for what it is doing. That needs to be stated specifically; I find it odd when some claim that it is inappropriate to” never be allowed to support itself” and to take appropriate steps.

National Security Council spokesman John Kirby told reporters on Tuesday that there was” no change at this point, we do n’t encourage or allow the use of U.S. supplied weapons to strike inside Russia.” In response to reports that top White House officials, including Secretary of State Antony Blinken, were lobbying for President Biden to lift his ban on Ukraine using American-provided missiles to strike targets within Russia.
NATO’s Jens Stoltenberg, who claimed that the success of Russia in the fight was in part due to Kyiv being prevented by Washington and other countries from attacking reasonable military targets on Russian soil, said:” To make it very difficult for them to support themselves… makes it very difficult for them to support themselves.”
Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, who was the head of the supposedly defensive alliance, was accused of overstepping his power by suggesting attacks against Russia in a furious reprimands from Moscow.
Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, even made a warning about the possibility of the proxy war waging a war against Europe if American missiles are fired at his nation.
” This continual increase can lead to serious consequences. How will the US act if these serious effects occur in Europe, keeping in mind our parity in terms of tactical arms? Hard to say. Do they want international discord”? Putin stated on Tuesday, according to RT position advertising.
” These representatives of NATO countries, especially in Europe, especially in small countries, must be aware of what they are playing with” , , the Russian leader continued, ominously noting that many of those countries have” a small territory and a very dense population” in a thinly veiled nuclear war threat.
The remarks made by the NATO Secretary-General have also drawn condemnation within the organization, with deputy prime minister Matteo Salvini requesting that Stoltenberg repudiate them, apologize, or “resign” from his position.
Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni was also critical of the NATO chief, saying:  ,” I do n’t know why Stoltenberg says such a thing. You have to be quite careful… , I recommend more precaution”.
