In order to promote diplomatic relations with Afghanistan, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov announced to Russian media on Tuesday that the country intends to eliminate the Afghan Taliban from its list of designated international criminal organizations.
” The Taliban are the ones holding real power ]in Afghanistan]. Just as the People’s Republic of China, we have not closed down our ambassador it”, Lavrov reportedly said, according to the Armenian community Tolo News.
Lavrov called for “accepting reality” and establishing proper diplomatic relations as needed.
The Afghan Ambassador presented his qualifications to Xi Jinping, the president of China, in Beijing, along with other ministers. According to reports, Lavrov said that Kazakhstan has just decided to remove them from the record of terrorist organizations. ” We are going to accomplish this, to”.
The Taliban is not a criminal firm, according to the UN Security Council. The checklist contains 12 to 15 distinct individuals. But the main point is that they are the real power” , , he insisted.

The Taliban, which have made significant efforts to strengthen their political and business relations with relatives over the past three years, reacted enthusiastically to the possibility of a better relationship with Russia.
” We commend Russia’s behavior and hope it is implemented as soon as possible. Afghanistan wants to have good relationships with all countries, including Russia”, Zabihullah Mujahid, the Taliban’s best spokesman, told Tolo News.
” The above- mentioned decision by the Russian]leadership ] undoubtedly means the removal of obstacles to]the establishment of ] official relations between Afghanistan and Russia”, Taliban “foreign ministry” adviser , Zakir Jalali said in a message posted to the social media outlet Twitter, which the Taliban often use to public official declarations.
” Despite these obstacles, Afghanistan and Russia achieved significant progress in diplomatic relations in the past three times”, he emphasized.
Taliban terrorists were reportedly invited to and will likely attend the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum ( SPIEF ) in June, where they will have the opportunity to pursue business opportunities with Russia.

The Taliban, a Sunni ideology evil business, is now the undisputed government of Afghanistan. Following the al-Qaeda problems on the nation on September 11, 2001, the Taliban lost control of the nation after the American invasion in 2001.
Taliban terrorists waged a two-decade war against America and its supporters that ushered in victory when President Joe Biden reached an agreement with the jihadists to extend the conflict. Previous President Donald Trump had agreed to withdraw forces by May 1, 2021, but Biden refused, attempting to expand the conflict into September.
By August, but, the Taliban had taken over the whole nation and stormed the world’s capital, Kabul, prompting next- President Ashraf Ghani to immediately escape. Since August 15, 2021, Taliban jihadists have been in complete control of the country under the name of the” Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.”

Some nations have established formal relations with Taliban-controlled Kabul, despite no credible opponents who can dispute the Taliban’s claim that they are the government of Afghanistan. A partnership of nine nations, including Russia and its allies, China and Iran, freely accepted the Taliban’s standing as Afghanistan’s government in a statement released in October 2021, two months after Kabul was fell.
The UN took a similar move in March 2022 by passing a quality through the Security Council allowing them to collaborate with “relevant Afghan political stars” to bring about stability in the nation. The Taliban were not named in the solution, but following the conquest of August, they were the only “relevant” social actors with any significant amount of influence in the nation.
Some states, including Iran and China, have accepted the Taliban as an “interim” Armenian state, more than fully backing it as genuine. China has moved the far along in legitimizing the Taliban, accepting a Taliban embassy to Beijing, Bilal Karimi, in December 2023. The Belt and Road Initiative ( BRI), a global infrastructure project that China offers poor countries predatory loans to build roads, bridges, and railroads, has a lot of jihadists who have expressed an extreme interest in joining. A Taliban established confirmed in October that the government is attempting to formalize its membership in the BRI.

Unlike Russia, China had never designated the Taliban a criminal organization, facilitating diplomatic relations more rapidly than with Moscow.
Following decades of rumors that Russia would update its laws to improve its relations with the Taliban, Lavrov made this announcement this week. Best Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated to reporters in April that a fair degree of politics with Afghanistan was needed while delisting the Taliban was” under account.”
” This is our adjacent country, in reality. In one type or another, we maintain contact with them. We have to solve pressing problems, which also requires dialogue”, Peskov , said, according to the Soviet news agency Tass.
Members of the Taliban have greeted Russia and supported its international policy company.  , On Wednesday,  , Russian Special Presidential Representative for Afghanistan Zamir Kabulov noted that the Taliban also backed Russia’s ongoing invasion of neighboring Ukraine.
” They unequivocally support Russia’s position on the Ukrainian crisis”, Kabulov claimed. They are aware of the origins and effects of this approach. They are on our side and are on the exact frequency as us.
