In her network’s coverage of previous president Donald Trump’s conviction on all matters in his company history test, a unanimous verdict by a Manhattan judge, MSNBC anchor Rachel Maddow said the jury deserves praise and protection.
Maddow said,” Listen, this is majority on all works. This is a binding and unreversible judgment. He is appeal. I’m certain he will elegance. However, this is everything the prosecutors requested from a jury that, on all counts, took this matter significantly. Here, we recorded the debate time down. The exam here for us, as a nation, is not about what happens on elegance. And is not about what happens on punishment. The issue is then whether or not this former senator and his supporters attempted to destroy the rule of law, leading to public disapproval of this as a righteous function of the rule of law in our nation. They have attempted to vilify this judge. They have attempted to vilify the judge and the laws he is accused of violating. The people responsible for bringing this situation have been subjected to threats, intimidation, and other forms of intimidation in an effort to vilify the process of the British people. The American citizens are now in charge of deciding whether or not to support those efforts.
We are aware of what it means to place a former senator on trial and bring that trial to completion, she continued. Before we ever had this man as a former president, that is something that was speculative. We have now witnessed it, and we are aware of how effective the jury system is. Previous presidents who are charged may get tried. Suddenly, the pertains operation will go on. There will be tension points throughout the punishment approach. However, any former leader is treated like a member in this country’s legal system. We’ve seen that. This judge deserves praise for their efforts, protection from the kinds of attacks and defamation that the procedure produces.
