In a peaceful march held on Saturday in Central Budapest under the leadership of the government of Hungary, Viktor Orbán demanded a stop to the West’s conflict with Russia.
As he addressed thousands of people in the Hungarian capital to express his opposition to the war in Ukraine and the EU’s refusal to press for peace talks, Prime Minister Orbán warned that the” European coach hurtling toward war” needed to be pulled during the crisis break.
In the middle of the Danube, thousands of people marched from the Chain Bridge to Margaret Island carrying banner reading” No War” from the march, which took place less than a week before 450 million Union people will vote on the next European Parliament.

Packaging the approaching elections as a battle between life and death, Orbán warned per state journalist MTVA:” If the remaining wins, it’s just a matter of time before combat overtakes us… , It is necessary to avoid Europe from rushing into war, to its own destruction”.
They believe they may prevail in this conflict. However, the sexiness of war is similar to a drug: those who become dependent on it do n’t feel any responsibility for anything. They do n’t listen to anyone, they walk over you. They feel no remorse. We are certainly significant to them, nor you, nor your existence, nor your coming, for which you work every day”.
Urging those who up harmony to assist his , Fidesz in the EU Parliament voting, the PM said that his state represented the “only pro- serenity government” in the EU, saying:” No migration! No gender! No war! – This is the position of the Hungarian government”.

In a letter to the “founding fathers” of the bloc, Orbán argued that they were right to seek a framework to stop another major war in Europe following the Second World War despite frequently being accused by Brussels and the media of going against the principles of the Union.
” At this point, we are expected to fight in another war. We wo n’t go to war, I promise, slowly, so they can understand that in Brussels. We will not head east for the third time, we will not go to the Russian front again, we have been there before, we have nothing to gain there”, the Hungarian leader vowed.
In his address,  , Orbán also reiterated his call for peace talks between Kyiv and Moscow, saying:” This peace cannot be won with weapons. There is no solution to this war on the battlefield, there are only dead and destruction”.

While Orbán was initially joined by Emmanuel Macron and other members of the EU calling for peace, this is no longer the case. The self-described” Jupitarian” French President is now a vocal advocate for an uprising in the conflict, potentially provoking French troops to enter the battlefield.
Orbán has consistently stated that he believes peace can only be achieved with the re-election of Donald Trump as president of the United States, adding that the elections to the European Parliament will be crucial in preventing a full-scale war between the West and Russia.
Following a meeting with the former president at Mar- a- Lago in February, the Hungarian PM said:” I do n’t see anyone other than him, neither in Europe nor in America, who is a leader strong enough to stop the war”.
