A top aide to President Volodymyr Zelenskiy claimed that Russian forces are attempting to capture as much of Ukraine’s place as possible in an effort to persuade Kyiv’s supporters to agree to a cease-fire before weapons deliveries are made to fill a vital gap.
Kremlin causes have been utilizing their advantage in terms of ammunition and labor as they launched a new entry into the northeastern Kharkiv region this month as the European Union considers allowing Ukraine to attack targets inside Russia with arms sent by representative says.
Although US arms have begun to be deployed on the field, it will take months of continuous rises to reach a critical mass, according to presidential adviser Mykhailo Podolyak.
” At the moment, Russian troops have the absolute advantage in shells, missiles, etc”, Podolyak said in an interview. They will attempt to advance along the frontline. And then they might try to pressure the pro-Ukraine coalition to agree to the obscene phrase” Let’s freeze the conflict, we will stay where we are — or else we will continue to kill.”
Russia’s military has increased missile and glide- bomb attacks against Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second- largest city and home to 1.5 million before the invasion, from inside its own territory. Additionally, the attack on the surrounding area allowed the Kremlin troops to further stretch Kyiv’s forces.
Russian forces have launched more than 10, 000 glide bombs from positions about 5 kilometers ( 3 miles ) back from the Ukrainian border, Podolyak said. At least 18 people were killed in a recent, similar attack on a home-improvement superstore in Kharkiv this month.
Emmanuel Macron, the president of France, stated on Tuesday that Ukraine must be permitted to launch missiles against Russian-occupied military installations. The issue will be discussed by the NATO foreign ministers who are scheduled to meet in Prague this week.
Podolyak said air power is crucial. He claimed that Kyiv now requires at least 60 Western fighter jets to cover a frontline that was a further 70 kilometers from the 1,200 kilometers before the Kharkiv incursion. Considering the contact line’s length and the intensity of combat, 100 to 120 of these aircraft would be “optimal,” according to Podolyak.
According to the presidential aide, Ukrainian pilots are undergoing final training in jets, adding that if Kyiv is granted everything, the military will regain its independence as it did in late 2022 when it ordered Russian troops to flee Kharkiv and the southern region of Kherson.
Podolyak claimed that in order to use effective defense, Ukraine still needs permission to strike inside Russian territory close to the border.
We must end Russian tactical aviation’s dominance otherwise this defensive conflict will be very difficult because Russia will simply bomb areas close to the battlefield, according to Podolyak.
