Just days after a Manhattan jury found Donald Trump guilty on 34 counts in District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s business records trial against the former president, Mara Macie discussed her congressional seat challenge with Breitbart News Saturday ( Saturday ) on SiriusXM.
After Trump’s conviction, Macie and network Matthew Boyle criticized Rutherford for making a prefab speech while refusing to take any actions.

Because he controls or has a hand on the wheel, at least, how our national tax dollars are spent, Congressman Rutherford is on the Appropriations Committee, which means that he has the authority and the power to really do something about this. ” And he has n’t done anything about it. Everything at all”.
Federal funding is used to run prosecutor’s headquarters. A majority of House Republicans like Rutherford teamed up with Democrats in March to complete a huge$ 1.2 trillion federal funding plan despite having a majority in the House. Macie also made reference to Rutherford’s support for the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act ( FISA ), including his opposition to requiring government investigators to obtain warrants before spying on Americans. That article vote failed in a 218 to 218 link.
” That was one ballot from failing and if I had been elected to office]in 2022] that would not have gone by. We really need to look at this, who will stand up for the electorates and the British citizens.
According to Macie, Trump’s escalation should be used to retake control of the Congress as effectively.
” If we had that same power behind us, we would be able to get back the entire Congress, and we would be able to ensure these things do happen,” she said.
She dove farther into Rutherford’s ballot history, especially on massive paying bills.
” John Rutherford constantly votes the bad way”, she said. He supports the resolutions that account La, transgender surgeries, travel for DOD, and other similar things. I mean, the person is not really backing conservative beliefs”.
She continued,” we need the people to understand that this state is imprisoning all of us at this time.” And the prisoners are the elected officials right now. We do n’t understand that we are the ones who hold the keys. We think they hold the locks, we hold the locks, but we have to use them. And we must be able to elect people, reclaim the parliamentary seats currently held by the uniparty, because that is the only way to restore this nation to its original Constitution. If we do n’t follow our constitution, we do n’t have the United States of America”.

Boyle brought up an , interview , Tucker Carlson conducted with Donald Trump Jr. in the midst of the ruling. Trump Jr. lambasted Republican lawmakers who speak out while not taking action, actually when holding bad actors accountable.
” They express how disgusted they are. They write a strongly worded letter, or they issue a strongly worded tweet, and then they do n’t do anything”, Boyle said, tying the level of inaction to Rutherford. ” Here’s a guy who has the power to do something. Americans should demand more from elected leaders, Macie argued. By now, we should be aware that politicians are n’t telling the truth. Macie discussed the success of her community battle, which is being led by volunteers who want better congressional representation.
” We are knocking gates, and we’re getting people who are never content with John’s achievement, they see him as part of the problem”, she said, pointing out some voters who formerly supported Rutherford are happy to have a better option. Some people are loyal, but others are skeptical, and they say,” For decades, I’ve known John, he’s a friend of mine, but I do know his election history does not signify my values. And there needs to be more, and John needs to retire. He’s been in the sport to long.'”

Rutherford allegedly failed to deliver the basic services that a congressman should expect from him and get out of the area.
” He does n’t return people’s calls. He does n’t take meetings with his constituents. He does n’t respond well to letters and so on and so forth. And when he does, he’s dirty, right? Like he’s lecturing individuals, right”? she said.
Rutherford was even accused of refusing to issue her or perhaps appear alongside her at social situations by Macie even though they had a chance to meet at a Republican team along.
