Israel and Hezbollah, the evil organization supported by Iran in southwestern Lebanon, are close to starting a war as Hezbollah fired lots of rockets and missiles at Israel over the weekend, causing widespread fires close to Israel’s northern borders.
Israel had targeted dozens of extremist websites in southern Lebanon in retaliation for a previous round of attacks. Unlike Hezbollah, Israel targets military goals and no residents, Hezbollah has targeted both since earlier October.
The Israel Defense Forces ( IDF) are preparing for war in the north as they battle it out to defeat the last Hamas battalions left in Gaza.
The IDF issued a declaration Sunday:
In order to prepare for a promotion in the northern area, the IDF conducted an workout in the General Staff command centers this week.
At the Northern Command’s headquarters as well as in all IDF branches and directorates, normal and military soldiers took part in the exercise. The training included scenarios that simulated a longer battle in the northern arena as well as multi-area combat.
The 36th Division conducted a comprehensive division-level model that included battle scenarios in the north arena as part of the exercise.
During the exercise, the Chief of the General Staff, LTG Herzi Halevi, visited the Northern Command Operations Center, the command centers in the region and the Israeli Air Force Operations Center in the Kirya with the Commanding Officer of the Northern Command, MG Ori Gordin, the Commanding Officer of the Israeli Air Force, Maj. Gen. Tomer Bar, the Head of the Intelligence Directorate ( J2 ), MG Aharon Haliva, the Head of the Operations Directorate ( J3 ), MG Oded Basiuk and other commanders.
The Army demonstrates constant improvement in its preparation and picks up classes throughout the conflict.
Hezbollah is violating United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701, which prohibits the organization from locating military installations north of the Litani River. It was the Resolution that ended the Second Lebanon War in 2006.
Both the Syrian defense and the UN have shown no willingness to carry out the quality. President Joe Biden’s warning to Hezbollah and Iran in October — “do n’t”! — has failed to deter the criminal organization.
