Sergei Ryabkov, the deputy foreign secretary of Russia, stated on Monday that allowing Ukraine to use British weapons to attack priorities on Russian soil could lead to “fatal consequences.”
Ryabkov responded to comments made by American officials on Friday that President Joe Biden apparently gave Ukraine authority to attack targets in Russia with arms under a range of circumstances. More specifically, the Ukrainians were given permission to launch destructive artillery and missile attacks on Russian positions in Kharkiv, the border city.
Germany also gave Ukraine authority on Friday to use its arms against Soviet targets to support Kharkiv. The Netherlands, Finland, and Poland expressed support for allowing Ukraine to protect itself against strikes launched from Russian territory, as did NATO Secretary- General Jens Stoltenberg.
National leaders should beware of errors that could lead to fatal consequences. For unknown reasons, they underestimate the severity of the reject they perhaps receive”, Ryabkov said in reply on Monday, as quoted by Soviet state media.
Ryabkov derisively advised American officials to” invest some of their time, which they evidently spend on some kind of video games, judging by the softness of their strategy, on studying what was said in depth by Putin.”
Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, said in a statement that” a very important caution, and it must be taken with the utmost severity” was issued by Ryabkov.
Putin said next Tuesday that the” regular escalation” of Western countries supporting Ukraine, culminating in them allowing Ukraine to use their arms against targets in Russia, had “lead to major effects”.
How will the United States act if these severe outcomes strike Europe, keeping in mind our equality in terms of tactical arms? It’s hard to say. Do they want a world discord”? Putin asked artistically.
Putin added that Western nations with” little territory and deep populations” should be especially cautious about provoking Russia in order to ensure that no one missed the big assertions that he was talking about starting a nuclear conflict.
Russian early-warning radar systems have been attacked by Ukrainian forces, according to Ryabkov, who claimed on Monday that Moscow’s answer may be “asymmetrical.”
The regime in Kyiv has attempted to undermine the routine operation of significant components of our defense, particularly those that are related to the proper sphere. These objectives may be put an end to by us. Reactions may be asymmetrical”, he said.
Russian Defense Ministry officials and military bloggers claimed on Monday that Ukraine fired a M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System ( HIMARS ) at targets in Belgorod, a Russian city, about 25 miles north of the Ukrainian border. Six civilians, two city authorities were killed in the assault, and three others were hurt, according to the government of the Belgorod area.
Russian media also reported on Monday that a HIMARS was fired into Belgorod but that the objective was a Russian S-300/400 air defense system.
A group of separate Russian journalists named ASTRA reported that a Russian Defense Ministry center in the Korocha city of Belgorod was “attacked” and” some pieces of military technology burned down” in a Telegram article.
” While the fire was extinguished, a projectile detonated, leading to the death of the director of the state’s security government, Igor Nechiporenko, and the wounding of the mind of the city administration and three servicemen of the Russian Defense Ministry,” ASTRA said, a statement that agreed with the Belgorod president’s comment about the death of city officials in the attack.
