The fire in Jerusalem’s Valley of the Cross, which threatened the Israel Museum and another significant places outside, was the subject of a suspicion by Israeli police on Monday.
The river, home to an ancient Greek Orthodox abbey, is usually where the wood for Jesus ‘ crucifixion was sourced. It is a common area for hikes and is situated right below the Israel Museum and Israel’s legislature, or Knesset.

On Sunday, firefighters scrambled to put an end to the flame that swiftly drew dry brush and approached the museum.
Ynetnews reported Monday:
According to a fire standard, the investigation into the fire that started at the Valley of the Cross in Jerusalem on Sunday revealed that it started at three different locations.
In the Valley of the Cross, close to the Israel Museum, vegetation spread to distribute the flames. As a precautionary measure, employees were ejected from the gallery. Fireplace and rescue team, along with six rescue helicopters, managed to prevent the flames, which reached the gallery’s fences, from going outside.
Although a youth centre in the river suffered damage to its roofing, none of the painting at the gallery was damaged.
In the past, there have been burning problems in Israel that were linked to terrorism.
Individually, Hezbollah, the Iranian-backed terror group, unleashed barrages of rockets on Sunday in northeastern Israel and the Golan Heights. Israel intended terror sites in reply.
