Republicans and Democrats criticized President Joe Biden on Tuesday when a new executive order was announced to close the border after more than 2,500 illegal immigrant arrests occur each day.
The average number of illegal, daily border crossings remained above 4, 000 in April, and for months, Republicans, including House Speaker Mike Johnson ( R- LA ) and former President Donald Trump, had called on Biden to use executive authority to close the border.
Essentially, those calls properly scuttled bipartisan policy in the Senate that would have even closed the border once suspicions exceed 2,500. Older administration officials claim that Biden’s executive order will close the border once the average migrant apprehensions for seven days exceed 2,500 and continue to apply until the average migrant apprehension for 14 days falls below 1,500.
Republicans enthusiastically criticized the government’s order Tuesday, even before it was published.
Trump’s plan wrote on Tuesday night that” Broken Joe Biden is merely pretending to secure the border because he’s faltering in the surveys.” ” This crisis was n’t borne only from Biden’s extreme weakness and incompetence, it was by design from the start”.
