Senator Tommy Tuberville ( R- AL ) said , Tuesday on Newsmax TV’s” National Report” that former President Donald Trump’s conviction in his New York business record trial was a “war on our constitutional right”.
When asked about a letter sent by eight Senate Republicans asking them to oppose significant policy and Biden contenders after criminal decisions, Tuberville responded,” To me, they’re never really taking this as significantly as we should. Americans need to light up. This is a conflict. This is a battle on our constitutional rights, our democratic republic. Donald Trump is more important than the people of this country, in my opinion. I do n’t call us Republicans and Democrats anymore. You either support our wonderful nation as it has been for the previous 248, or you are against it because you want to make it change.
He continued,” We’re trying to get something over to our even our Republican colleagues say, this ca n’t go any longer. This coach must be stopped from crossing the track. If we do n’t, we will lose in November, this coming year, this is not over. The Democrats have n’t yet finished this. They may keep pushing this daily.
Tuberville continued,” We have so many terrible things going on in this country right now. They are concerned about Republicans regaining control of the nation we adore. And they better be concerned about it because we will recoup November 5 if they continue on this path of absurdity.
