Byron York, a journalist for The Washington Examiner, claimed that some lawmakers had a reason to abstain from attending President Joe Biden’s announcement to use professional action to address the border crisis.
Biden issued an executive order on Tuesday that forbids people from seeking prison at the southern boundary. Democrat politicians, including Sens. Jon Tester ( D- MT ), Bob Casey ( D- PA ), Sherrod Brown ( D- OH), Jacky Rosen ( D- NV), and Tammy Baldwin ( D- WI), were absent from Biden’s announcement.
” They want to get reelected. I mean, they are the most resilient lawmakers in the U. S. Senate”, York told the Ingraham Angle. ” Many people actually skipped this because it simply highlights all Biden has done wrong about the boundary,” he said.
” And the fact that it was his doing”, York added. ” You ca n’t blame Trump. You ca n’t blame somebody back in history. It was Joe Biden’s doing”.
Biden’s current overall job approval rating is 40.3 %, according to RealClearPolitics polling.
York suggested Biden’s low voting, which is not limited to citizens ‘ issues regarding the frontier and economy, is reason for these legislators to distance themselves from the leader.
” You have to remember that the 40 %”, York added, “includes things he does well on, like healthcare or abortion. I mean, he is manner, means underground”.
Biden blamed Republicans for refusing to move a Senate border costs while is issuing his executive order, saying they “left him no option” but to use his executive powers to handle border security.

Biden outlined his concerns about the administrative order, saying “migrants will be prohibited from receiving hospital at our southern frontier unless they seek it after entering through an established constitutional procedure. If a person chooses to avoid our legal system and travel abroad without consent and against the law, they will not be able to obtain prison or remain in the country.
Biden was surrounded by Sen. Mark Kelly ( D- AZ), Govs. Kathy Hochul ( D- NY ) and Michelle Lujan Grisham ( D- NM), seven House Democrats, and local elected officials.
