NEW DELHI: France‘s National Anti- Terrorism Prosecutor’s Office said on Wednesday that a 26- yr- ancient Russian- Ukrainian was held on fear of planning a violent action after he injured himself in an explosion.

A subsequent research of his chamber turned up items and materials used to make explosive devices. The hotel’s location in the Roissy-en-France village, where a stash of weapons and false passports was discovered, according to AFP.

Given the gravity of the situation, the man is being detained by France’s domestic intelligence agency, General Directorate for Internal Security ( DGSI), instead of the regular police. Instead of judicial prosecutors, special anti-terrorist prosecutors are taking the case.
In preparing for the Olympic Games in Paris, which are scheduled from July 26 to August 11, France has raised its safety notice to the highest level.
This year, France is likewise hosting major commemorations for the 80th commemoration of D- Morning in Normandy, with US President Joe Biden, Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelensky, and another leaders expected to attend the major event on Thursday.
