At the Cisco Live meeting on June 5, Cisco announced that the merger of Splunk will be impacted by a new full-stack observability item, the Unified Observability Experience. Cisco also revealed the first availability of a free test version of Motific, a relational AI shipping platform created in concert with Mistral AI, as part of the same series of conference announcements.
Consolidated Observability Experience makes it simple to connect AppDynamics and the Splunk Platform.
In March 2024, Cisco purchased Splunk, a provider of information observability and protection. In a media release at the time, Splunk Chair and CEO Chuck Robbins and Splunk Executive Vice President and General Manager Gary Steele stated that the company intended to “drive fresh improvements with a unified information platform.” The Unified Observability Experience, which was made public on June 5, adds to this by creating a full-stack observability offering based on both companies ‘ products. Consolidated Observability Experience provides:
- For Cisco AppDynamics and Splunk, fresh single-sign-on qualifications are required for shared procedures.
- Cisco AppDynamics customers can quickly move to appropriate logs in the Splunk Platform using context-aware deep linking.
- Complete- load, environment- independent relationships between a variety of programs, including Cisco AppDynamics on Microsoft Azure.
- Another fresh relationships have been made between Cisco and Splunk Platform.
In the second third of 2024, the Unified Observability Experience may be accessible in general.

Artificial tools and a Microsoft Azure solution are added to Cisco AppDynamics.
New AI devices were announced by Splunk and Cisco to aid in decision-making:
- An AI associate for Cisco AppDynamics, normally available in Q3 2024.
- Tools for automating and optimizing combinations and perspectives using AI and machine learning in Splunk IT Service Intelligence.
Beginning in the fourth quarter of this year, Cisco AppDynamics may be hosted as a software-as-a-service on Microsoft Azure, enabling compliance with industry-specific regulatory needs across new regions.
Outshift, a Cisco incubation, and Mistral AI collaborate.
Outshift, Cisco’s incubator arm, announced that Motific, a conceptual Artificial deployment tool, is now available for free trial before the production version is made available for public use by July 31. Motific assists IT and business performance teams in supplying conceptual AI assistants and applications. Companies are selling more simple ways for businesses to adopt conceptual AI solutions, which are popular in this sector.
Additionally, Outshift and Mistral AI have partnered to make the big speech model of Mistral AI available as a Motific preset model.
In a press release, Mistral AI CEO and co-founder Arthur Mensch expressed his excitement about the release of this partnership with Cisco, which may open up new opportunities for GenAI assistants. ” We are looking forward to see ( ing ) our models enhancing innovation and optimizing operations for Cisco’s clients, all while ensuring compliance with their organization’s trust, security, and cost policies”.
Cisco and Outshift intend to use Mistral AI items in Motific’s future guardrails, brains, and retrieval-augmented generation capabilities. In addition to Outshift’s products and features, Mistral AI will be used to create domain- and task-specific types.
Mistral AI is one of the recipients of Cisco’s just announced$ 1 billion global investment bank for AI.
