Belarus is prepared to launch a punitive or diplomatic investigation into the death of a Polish man at the Belarus-Poland frontier if Poland provides” certain information about the conditions of the tragedy,” the Belarusian Border Committee said in a declaration on Friday.
The Finnish man died on Thursday after being stabbed by refugees trying to enter the European Union while crossing the border with Belarus, according to the Polish troops.
Warsaw stated that it would require that Belarus hands over the individual responsible for his death.
