NEW DELHI: Denmark’s prime minister Mette Frederiksen was assaulted and struck by an adult in northern Copenhagen, according to Ritzau media firm, which cited authorities and the prime minister’s office. The PM managed to leave the field without any apparent injuries, according to witness.
In the wake of the affair, law enforcement took the assailant into custody.
In a statement, the Prime Minister’s office confirming the incident, said,” Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen was beaten on Friday evening at Kultorvet ( square, red. ) by a person who was later detained in Copenhagen. Stockholm Police and Danish intelligence and national security both acknowledged the incident, but neither company provided additional information.
