
Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek- e- Insaf ( PTI ) leader Imran Khan, who has been incarcerated in Adiala prison held 105 discussions with at least 403 citizens in 246 days– from September 28 to May 30, in Rawalpindi’s Adiala prison, reported Geo News.
A day after the Islamabad High Court’s ( IHC ) order in September last year, the former premier was moved from Attock to Adiala jail.
He has been held in custody since August 2023.
According to the information the government submitted to the Supreme Court on September 28, Imran Khan was permitted to meet with six individuals, whereas in October, the former leading saw 43 individuals attend 12 separate meetings, according to a report from Geo News.
The statistics even revealed that the 71- yr- old, in November, held 13 sessions with 52 people.
In December 2023, the 22nd leading of Pakistan held 12 discussions with 48 citizens, and in the first quarter of the current time, the former swimmer saw 17 people in eight sessions.
According to the latest reported information, Imran Khan’s sessions in February increased to 74 citizens and 19 sessions and in the following month, he met with 53 people in 11 sessions.
In April, the PTI chairman, who was ousted in 2022 by a little- confidence vote, met 54 individuals and held 15 conferences.
In May, he was allowed to meet 56 people and hold 13 meetings.
In response to the former prime minister’s claims that he was being kept in solitary confinement, the federal government submitted documentary evidence of those who met him and the amenities that were offered to him.
It read,”… it may appoint a judicial officer in the form of a commission to verify the facts submitted to this Court”.
