
The Republican National Committee is creating emergency plans in case former president Donald Trump is sentenced to prison day during the group’s nominating convention in July.
Trump, who was the 2016 and 2020 Democratic presidential candidate and who is on record to become the group’s 2024 candidate, was convicted by a New York City judge last week on 34 criminal matters of falsifying business information.  ,
Trump is now set to face imprisonment on July 11, only weeks before the RNC agreement on July 15, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

RNC Chair Michael Whatley stated to Newsmax on Tuesday that the organization is thinking about whether Trump will be ordered to report to jail or allowed to attend the voting agreement.
” I’m really going up to Milwaukee this year, and we’re going to include a series of meetings”, Whatley said. ” But appearance, we expect that Donald Trump is going to be in Milwaukee, and he’s going to be able to recognize that election, and if not, we will make whatever emergency planning we need to create for it”.
Whatley expressed confidence that Trump will become the Republican Party’s nominee for president when the RNC agreement is over, and that he will step up to replace Joe Biden, his 2020 challenger.
Whatley resisted making a lot of hypotheses regarding Trump’s July 11 imprisonment reading.
” I do n’t want to go into a lot of hypotheticals. We’ll bridge that gate. But you kind of have to go into this thing, as we certainly did get, planning on it”, Whatley said. ” We’ll been thinking about it, and we’re working on that right now. But what we want to do is to create a present that will showcase Donald Trump and his ideas for the United States, which will set up this election period.
When asked if the RNC may consider making Trump’s looks a virtual reality if he were to serve time in prison prior to the convention, Whatley responded that “everything is being thought on, everything is being considered at this time.

Trump and his supporters have indicated that they intend to charm the New York conviction and that they are confident that higher judges may throw the costs. Trump and his supporters also anticipate that the pertains procedure may take some time. As the transition occurs, the former senator has indicated that he is prepared to spend at least some time in jail.
The allegations that Trump had an extramarital experience stemmed from bills he made to maintain a 2016 prenuptial agreement to stop adult film star Stephanie Clifford ( who goes by Stormy Daniels ) from claiming in public that she and Trump had an extramarital encounter. Trump classified the bills for this signed contract, arranged by his previous attorney Michael Cohen, as “legal expenses”, but Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s company argued that the information was false.  ,
Falsifying business information is typically regarded as a criminal offence in New York, but it can be made a criminal if it was done to conceal another murder. In this case, Bragg’s office argued that the nondisclosure payments were made to support Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign and that the allegedly misstated payments were intended to stifle the disclosure of a donation to his campaign.  ,
Trump and his supporters have accused the prosecution of being politically motivated, and argued that the prosecution’s conviction was the result of a biased trial.
