On Saturday, the third morning of a comprehensive procedure launched after his wife reported him missing, rescuers continued to look for him on the rocky Greek peninsula of Symi.
The 67- season- old physician and good living activist, who has endorsed fasting and offered suggestions on sleep and meal, was last seen at 1: 30 p. m. ( 1030 GMT ) on Wednesday.
He vanished after taking a stroll along a steep coastal route from Agios Nikolaos Beach to the town of Pedi in the searing conditions. Keeping track of Moses was hampered by his lack of cellular phone with him.
Officers, the fire brigade, and individuals have been searching on and off the beach in the eastern Mediterranean assisted by a helicopter, robots and rescue dogs.
On Saturday, authorities requests shifted focus to an area opposite Agios Nikolaos, between Pedi and the shore of Agia Marina.
” The seek continues”, spokesperson Constantina Dimoglidou told Reuters. ” We are walking over another steep area, the larger place of Agia Marina,” the statement reads.
Photos shared with Reuters from a security cameras in Pedi showed what is believed to be Mosley, traveling by at 1: 49 p. m. on Wednesday, holding an umbrella, suggesting he perhaps have made it safely off the southern journey.
Lefteris Papakalodoukas, the governor of Symi, claimed that the surveillance images and video footage from surveillance cameras had helped sketch out what the authorities thought was Mosley’s probable route, which he had described as “unconventional.”
They made an indication that he might have continued through Pedi into another hard area around Agia Marina, according to the mayor.
In such high temperatures and under any circumstances, Papakalodoulkas said,” He chose roads that were very difficult to walk.” ” Devices demonstrate that he did not return home as planned.”
Symi is about 10 miles ( 16 km ) long and has 2, 500 residents. On Friday, residents of its secluded beaches flooded with sunbathers.
