On Sunday, President Joe Biden publicly criticizes the Republican nominee for president Donald Trump without naming him.
Biden stopped at the Aisne- Marne American Cemetery about 50 kilometers outside of Paris to commemorate the 80th commemoration of D-Day on his final evening in France.
2, 289 British war dead are buried in the tomb, the majority of them from a major World War I battle. Biden also mentioned a 2018 journey Trump made to the location where he had neglected to go to the cemetery due to bad weather.
According to Biden,” More Marines were lost here than in any struggle until World War II.” And the notion that I should visit Normandy rather than make the short journey around to give gift… America showed up”.
Trump was supposed to go to the same cemetery in 2018, but poor wind prevented the journey. Leaders frequently take helicopters for brief visits, but they also take a parade, which is slower, in the event of heavy rains. Trump’s team claimed the journey was postponed because the tomb was too far by motorcade within the allotted time frame.
According to early reports, which cited anonymous sources, Trump canceled the visit in part because he believed the Marines who lost in the fight were” fools” and the tomb was “filled with idiots.”
Biden has mentioned those thoughts at other times, though he did not mention them on Sunday.
Trump and his supporters strongly deny that he ever made the remarks, and the Republican National Committee sent an email blast immediately after Biden’s notes.
” It was n’t true in 2020 and it’s still not true now— but no disgusting lies are beneath Biden”, RNC spokesman Jake Schneider said.
The fire referenced a CBS record that claimed emails showed that a bad weather contact caused the 2018 cancellation. Additionally, the RNC mentioned 15 current or former Trump aides who have refuted the record.

Biden has repeatedly said that protectionism is not the best course of action for the United States, and that this can be read as a response to Trump.
” And the idea that we were able to prevent being engaged in big wars in Europe — it’s just not realistic”, he said. That’s why it’s crucial that we keep having the friends we have, keep strengthening those relationships, and keep NATO powerful. Continue to complete what we have been allowed to since World War Two ended.
