At the 50th Group of Seven conference in Italy this day, Biden and Zelensky held a joint media event.
The White House has just strengthened ties with Zelensky in recent months despite concerns that the country’s continued support to Ukraine is escalating tensions with Russia. The agreement to increase Kyiv’s long-term help comes after Secretary of State Antony Blinken promised Zelensky in April.
