A bipartisan group of 43 US Congress members has asked the Biden administration to get operational steps to protect documented romantics. In a comprehensive letter, this group, in place of a proposed legislative change, has suggested steps like delayed action and parole to guard over 2.5 lakh documented dreamers, of whom more than a lakh are thought to be children from American families.
Once children of parents on non- expat permits ( such as those holding H- 1B permits ) turn 21, they can no longer remain with their H- 4 card, which is meant for children. These kids who are referred to as documented intellectuals have no other choice but to get an F-1 card designed for international students or to self-deport to India or another state when they reach the age of 21. Immigration transformation costs that included lifting the country’s employment-related green accounts have failed over the past few years.
Senator Alex Padilla and Representative Deborah Ross, who spearheaded the America’s Children’s Bill, are the members of the group. We ask that you take administrative action to protect the thousands of children who may be forced to self-deport each month, while we continue to look for legislative solutions to completely protect these people. The methods suggested include using deferred action on a case-by-case basis, expanding eligibility for employment authorization for children of long-term card holders and those with approved 1- 140 ( green card ) applications, and creating a method for aged out children to seek pardon on a case-by-case schedule, if warranted for urgent humanitarian reasons or expand a significant public profit.
