
This year, House Republicans questioned 15 of President Joe Biden’s cabinet secretary over whether or not an executive order he signed would require the federal government in voter participation initiatives.
The subpoenas, brought by Rep. Bryan Steil ( R- Wis. ), chairman of the House Committee on Administration, are addressed to:

- Interior Secretary Deb Haaland,  ,
- Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen,  ,
- State Secretary Antony Blinken,  ,
- Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas,  ,
- Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra,  ,
- Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm,
- Education Secretary Miguel Cardona,
- Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin,
- Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo,
- Attorney General Merrick Garland,
- Shalanda Young, director of the Office of Management and Budget,
- Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, Adrianne Todman, and
- Julie Su, secretary of labor
