The colors they fly, how they fly them, the colors they pack themselves, and the colors they oppose can teach us a bit about individuals.
When pro- Hamas mobs burn Old Glory ( and travel Hezbollah’s symbol ), we know where they stand. We recognize that pseudo-sophisticates reject the principles of our founding fathers when they criticize flags of American democracy as forms of oppression and love. And when people display social revolution flags next to the Stars and Stripes, they represent what they believe is most important.
Americans who sacrifice the colors of our government’s foundation to their social competitors are, whether they realize it or not, surrendering America’s founding rules. When nationalist Americans choose to stand up for their own reason and defend those principles, we see this happen. The Gadsden” Do n’t Tread on Me” flag and the Pine Tree flag calling for” An Appeal to Heaven” are both flags that bear these symbols.
The anti-patriots surrender the flags as requirements of militancy rather than fighting to keep them for all. This is dreadful.
Americans can rally around less imagery and less. Yet the political elite views Old Glory as a bare social resource.
Our present national flag, which has 13 colors and 50 actors, is honored annually on Flag Day. The Continental Congress designated the 13 red, white, and blue union area with a group of 13 stars as the country’s standard flag on June 14, 1777.
That flag, probably designed by Betsy Ross, has been under sustained harm. Critics claim that there is a connection between bigotry and slavery.
The common perception of loyalty through popular culture was radically altered by decades of continuous attacks on the American flag by university historical Marxists. Colin Kaepernick, a San Francisco 49ers soccer player, built a swooning following when he refused to stand for the” Star-Spangled Emblem” at National Football League games and rather took a knee in protest of the society that is swollen with racism- is- outside obsession.
That was in 2016. At the end of the year, Kaepernick signed for free agency, but he never made an NFL team. Two years later, the athletic shoe firm and NFL companion Nike hired him as a brand ambassador after the controversy.
The Nike brand ambassador officially decried the flag as being tied to slavery as Nike prepared to release its unique Air Max 1 USA in 2019 for minimal release on July 4th, 2019. Nike removed the shoes, issued a cleaned public opinion, and the prejudiced theme pretended to have spread like a virus.
The Betsy Ross Flag discussion prompted Newsweek to ask,” Is it prejudiced?” The appropriate answer, numerous argued, was well. So the demolition of the American emblem progressed.
The Betsy Ross flag was included in ABC News in 2021, purporting to depict” the images of love and far-right fanaticism on display in support of the Trump Capitol siege.”
Thus did the FBI. An interior FBI” Domestic Terrorism Symbols Guide” to find” Army Aggressive Extremists”, leaked in 2022, identified” Revolutionary War Imagery”, the Liberty Tree, the Gadsden symbol, and the Betsy Ross symbol as potential criminal images. The FBI Counterterrorism Division produced the link, labeled “law police sensitive”.
The FBI’s decrease and its detachment from a commitment to British founding principles are much more detailed in the document than just “domestic terrorism.” A survey of FBI social media posts on X, formerly Twitter, reveals that for the two weeks leading up to Flag Day, America’s top federal law enforcement agency featured the “LGBTQIA+” (yes, that’s the latest acronym ) flag far more frequently than the American flag. The rainbow flag flying above Old Glory on a horizontal shaft angled above it even had the message” Because we are all Americans” displayed on one FBI article.
Flying another flag over or to the right of the American flag is a federal law stipulation. The Biden presidency stomped on the act to honor “pride” quarter in 2023, when the White House hung American flags on the South Portico from either side of a northern LGBT “progress” symbol.
More British elected and judicial authorities have since started performing people festivals to represent Communist China. As great captain of a Lunar New Year parade next February, U. S. Sen. Chuck Schumer, D- N. Y., appeared on a stage with Marxist Chinese diplomats, stood for the Communist Chinese federal anthem, and waved the Socialist Chinese flag. A video showed Schumer alongside Chinese Ambassador Huang Ping and Wu Xiaoming, who has been tied to Beijing’s illegal network of “police stations” in New York.
As a result of Hamas supporters ‘ protests against Palestinian flags from national monuments and the burning and stomped of Old Glory, Schumer and others have remained silent since then.
Many of the politicians and pundits who were happy with everything are scandalized by Martha Ann Alito’s wife’s decision to fly an” Appeal to Heaven” Pine Tree flag at their beach house. They are outraged that she flies an inverted American flag for a short while on family property, and they are also outraged that the Heritage Foundation flew the flag in support of the family when the media exposed the flag scandal as an attack on the Supreme Court.
Liberal or conservative, every American should respect the American flag. Federal law specifically permits flying the inverted flag as a distress signal, despite the criticisms of the Alito and Heritage displays.
The law states that” the flag should never be displayed with the union down except as a sign of dire distress in situations where life or property are in absolute danger.”
Look around. Is our polarized country not in the midst of self- destruction? Is there not a dire need for America today?
Fortunately, there are emerging pockets of patriotism in some places where leaders are working to preserve what the founders built. On Memorial Day, more than 3, 000 first-graders in Loudon County, Virginia, made the decision to build small, wooden American flags using materials from Flags of Valor, a veteran-owned, veteran-operated business that produces beautiful wooden American flags.
This Flag Day prompts us to reflect on the potential extreme dangers and” Appeal to Heaven” for more communities to join a patriotic revival to bring our nation back together.
