A man was shot dead by U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration officials in Clayton County on Tuesday night, prompting the GBI to launch an investigation.
Around 6 a.m., the officials entered a home in the 1600 block of Bag Pipe Place in Conley and saw a gentleman run into one of the rooms while serving search and arrest warrants.
” He afterwards appeared with a gun and shot at the providers”, the GBI said. Brokers “returned fire and took shelter inside the house.”
More photos were heard coming from the perpetrator’s last known place, but brokers did not continue firing again, the state agency said. The man was discovered with a gunshot wound after one more final shot was heard. The GBI did not specify whether the officials ‘ gunfire had injured him or whether they believed it to be self-inflicted.
At the landscape, the gentleman was declared dead. He may be found when officials have notified his immediate family, according to the GBI.
The company may perform an independent research. When full, the situation report will be given to the Clayton County District Attorney’s Office for evaluation.
