In a meeting with Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelensky and representing the United States at an international gathering on the war, Vice-President Kamala Harris on Saturday pledged America’s full support for Ukraine and international efforts to achieve” a just and lasting serenity” in the face of Russia’s invasion.
Harris announced$ 1.5 billion in additional US support through the express office and the US Agency for International Development as she made her 28-hour journey from Washington and again to the meeting location overlooking Lake Lucerne. That includes funding for energy support, repairing broken energy infrastructure, helping refugees, and enhancing human security in response to Russian President Putin’s aggression.
Harris stated,” I am here now to stand with Ukraine and the leaders from around the globe in support of a just and lasting serenity.” She added:” As we look forward to that peace, the United States is committed to helping Ukraine repair”.
