Gov. Spencer Cox ( R- UT) blasted Colorado’s Mayor of Denver, Mike Johnston ( D), for sending immigrants to the state without notice.
” We recently learned that the Democratic governor of Denver has been importing illegal immigrants into Utah without right notice or consent. This is totally unacceptable and goes against the Biden administration’s tried catch and release plan,” Cox wrote on X. Utah’s assets are completely depleted, according to the statement” Every state has received improper refugees.”
Next year, Michael Bernacke, the chairman of the Salt Lake City Field Office of U. S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, designated Utah as a shelter status. At the time, Senate President J. Stuart Adams ( R ), then- House Speaker Brad Wilson , ( R ), and Cox refuted the designation.
” All 50 states, including Utah, are now border state due to the failed immigration policies of President Biden and Congress”, Cox went on. We call on the Biden administration and Congress to resolve this issue after more.
Cox’s business was reached by The Washington Examiner for comment.
A representative from Denver Human Services confirmed to the Washington Examiner that 59 people had been deported to Utah in the previous 30 times. Also, 111 were transported to New York City and 46 people to Chicago. All three sites were chosen by these newcomers. Denver has purchased 2, 000 one- means bus tickets to Salt Lake City reserved for newcomers.
” Denver has been very open with all of our stranger operations, including our westward journey efforts”, the spokeswoman said. When larger groups travel or on the incredibly rare occasion that a flight is booked,” We will keep in close contact with officials to provide notification.”
Lately, the Utah leaders, including Cox, approved a report to give out to illegal immigrants to prevent them from coming to the condition. It warns, in Spanish,” there is no room available in homes. At capacity, there are n’t any more basic needs services than food banks. Consider moving to another state to settle in the US if you do n’t have a stable and secure family in Utah.
Texas confirmed Thursday that it sent over 19, 200 refugees to Denver since last May, due to the state’s shelter status. The “vast lot” of the refugees it serves came from Texas, according to a Denver Human Services representative.

Denver is not alone, as the condition has transported more to cities like Philadelphia, New York City, Washington, D. C., and Chicago. Since beginning its border security procedure in 2021, Texas has reported a 74 % increases in illegal border crossings into its position.
Earlier this month, Biden issued an , asylum , ban on all refugees caught crossing the border.  , But, this came weeks after the data showed that over 10 , million  , immigrants , had entered the country improperly since Biden took office.
