
In preparation for International Yoga Day, over 700 people attended an event organized by the High Commission of India in the UK at the Trafalgar Square in London.
Since 2015, the United Nations has adopted the International Day of Yoga, which is observed on June 21, everywhere. The design for the future Yoga Day, marking its 10th anniversary, is” Yoga for Women Empowerment”, highlighting the role of pilates in promoting gender equality and empowering women across the globe.
Indian High Commissioner Vikram Doraiswami, expressing his joy at the show’s success, said,” It was a great joy to be able to include well over 700 people here in this central place in London. surrounded by the world-renowned figures. He emphasized the various community involvement, highlighting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s concept that yoga unites and is for people.
When asked about the variations from prior years, Doraiswami noted the increased number of participants, yoga institutions involved, and the diversity of societies provide. He emphasized, however, that yoga’s major goal should always be to improve one’s ability to heal and develop personally.
Inderpal Ohri Chandel, a member of the UK, highlighted the importance of pilates for Indians and Asians as a significant component of their history, fostering cultural exchange, and promoting women’s independence as a theme this year. She even mentioned the presence of British baseball blind players from India who will be playing games there.
