11 migrants dead, 64 missing in two shipwrecks off Italy; Pak, Bangladesh nat'ls on board

ROME: Eleven migrants died and 64 were missing on Monday after two wrecks off southern Italy, according to a European generosity, the Italian coastline shield and UN agencies.
The European support team RESQSHIP, which operates the Nadir save ship, said it picked up 51 individuals from a sinking sturdy ship, including two who were unconscious, and found 10 body trapped in the lower deck of the vehicle. ” Our thoughts are with their people. The victims were handed over to the Italian coast shield and anchored on Monday night as the Nadir made its way to Lampedusa, towing the earthen vessel with the body of the bereaved.
The workers who were intercepted by the European generosity came from Syria, Egypt, Pakistan, and Bangladesh, according to a joint declaration from UNHCR, the International Organization for Migration, and UNICEF.
The second accident occurred about 200 kilometers west of the Italian region of Calabria when a ship that had left Turkiye eight days prior caught flames and flipped, according to the UN agencies.
They claimed that there were 64 lost at sea, and 11 were rescued and brought ashore to the Southern area of Roccella Ionica, along with the figure of a person. According to the UN agencies, the refugees in the next accident were from Iran, Syria, and Iraq.
