
As a clear signal to Russian President Vladimir Putin that the United States and allies are not “backing down” from their support for Kyiv, U.S. President Joe Biden praised a new security agreement, plans for$ 50 billion in Ukrainian aid, and expanded sanctions against Moscow.
At a media conference in Italy on Thursday, Biden and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky pledged to be with Ukraine until they win the war. They also praised the steps as crucial to maintaining support for Ukraine as its fight against Russia’s war enters a second time.
Biden also stated that he was sticking by his determination to not send British troops to fight in Ukraine and that he had no intention of allowing Ukraine to launch rockets into Russian territory. In response to Zelensky’s requests for seven of the potent air defense systems to shield against Russian attacks, the United States also intends to send a minute Patriot missile power to Ukraine. Biden claimed that allies had signed agreements with “five other countries but way” for Patriot chargers and other air defense systems.
