Without a credible radical-left scientific research to support it, no effective radical-left public policy proposal may gain any traction among radical-left lawmakers.
Harvard professors Linda J. Bilmes and Cornell William Brooks have published a study in the” Russell Sage Foundation Journal of the Social Sciences” titled” Normalizing Reparations: U. S. Precedent, Norms, and Models for Compensating Harms and Implications for Reparations to Black Americans”. That the extreme- remaining professors say it is necessary to “normalize” restitution suggests that compensation are not “normal” and really n’t been attempted. This is especially true when you consider that the very word “normal” does n’t exist in the usual academic lexicon.

They may be very desperate.  ,
The purpose of the paper is to tamp down facts and logic to demonstrate that the federal government consistently makes compensation.
” Categories of those harmed who have been compensated include coal miners, farmers whose crops have failed, workers whose businesses have gone bankrupt, victims of terrorism and natural disasters, people exposed to nuclear radiation, military soldiers, people wrongfully convicted in the legal system, persons denied income on tribal land, fishing facing depleted fish companies, people harmed by insecticides, toxins, vaccines, or medical devices, workers and businesses affected by U. S. trade agreements, depositors in banks, and numerous other categories”, according to the study.
Many of us would say that some of those corrective preparations were improper. Somewhere in all those cases is payment for social guilt, even if you accept all those arrangements as genuine.
” The existence of these programs shows not only the imagination of the federal government in devising methods of payment, but also the government’s ability to design and procure programs, to determine eligibility standards, and to provide supervision on the distribution of benefits”, according to the study.

Attempt as they might, the two scholars cannot square a group. Just because the government has the authority to “define eligibility standards” for fishermen who have contaminated a fishing area with fish or suffered from pesticide injuries does n’t mean the government can decide how much” slave blood” a black person needs to receive in order to be compensated.  ,
May a black person who has immigrated from Africa in the last ten years be ready? What about captives who immigrated from Haiti or another Caribbean nations to the United States? Those were the various nations that enslaved those individuals.
The two professors make claims throughout their research that existing problems with slavery reparations can be resolved, and that black people are one of the few people who have n’t received compensation from the government.
According to them, reparations for nonracial harms are routine and consistent based on the number and variety of reparatory reimbursement programs. Making obvious that America provides compensation to almost everyone but Black Americans, even for comparablely serious damages, juxtaposes the classification of reparatory reimbursement programs with the classification of reparation-less cultural harms.
The requirement for all white people to observe sackcloth and ashes on Independence Day and observe a Thanksgiving quickly is probably a part of the compensation costs.  ,

The compensation activists are aware that there is a millennial conflict. They have the patience to wait until the appropriate moment. I’m saddened because I know that the United States, as it has been constituted and understood for three hundred years, may be gone.
